Fortunately situated, in the full glow of the Mediterranean sun at the foot of the majestic Alps, where the renowned French Riviera meets the rugged Italian coastline, Monaco is one of the most central and accessible resort destinations in Europe.
For award winners who are travelling by air, the dream takes off from Nice Airport with a memorable six minute helicopter flight over step cliffs and the deep blue Med to the very heart of Monaco.
But it is easy to come by road as well, via the Autoroute du Soleil from England and France, or along the swift motorways from Germany, Switzerland and Italy. From Nice there is a choice of three scenic coastal routes.
All international trains stop at Monte Carlo Station and, on special occasions, it is possible to arrive on the celebrated Orient Express.
