The Old Cagnes
Memory of the past, medieval and historical site. Everything reminds to the

Church rooted to the walls, the Notre Dame de Protection chapel, offering a
breathtaking view over to the Angel Bay, and the imposing and severe

The Chateau Museum
Owned in 1309 by Raynier Grimaldi, Lord of Monaco and Cagnes, Provence
fortified castle, then lordly residence during the XVII century, the Castle
Museum now shelters:
- Ground floor: Five low and arched rooms presenting the Olive tree
Museum.
- First floor: Donation Suzy Solidor
(40 portraits of the Artist by other renowned painters)
Community room, "Salle Carlone", famous for the renowned
fresco of the ceiling, trompe l'oeil painted.
- Second floor: Large rooms meant for temporary exhibitions.
- The tower offers a magnificient panorama from the
seaside to the hinterland.

Opened from 10:00AM TO 12:00PM, and from 2:00PM to 5:00PM
From Easter to June, opened until 6:00PM
From July to September, opened until 07:00PM daily
Guided tours on Sundays at 4:00PM
(5:00PM in July and in August)
Entrance fee: 20FF per adult
Children less then 12 years old, students and groups 10FF per person
